A 200-bed, multi-specialty hospital located on the island of Mauritius, the
Apollo Bramwell Hospital
is a joint venture between the listed Mauritian business group, British American Investment Co. (Mtius) ltd, and India’s healthcare giant,
Apollo Hospitals Group.
The Apollo Hospitals Group is one of the largest healthcare providers in Asia with 8500 beds across 50 hospitals. Medical care at Apollo Bramwell also includes cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, nephrology and opthalmology, neonatology and pediatrics, trauma and cosmetic surgery. Total investment in the project is estimated at over US$80 million with employment for over 500 staff.
In the first year of operations over 40,000 outpatients and 20,000 inpatients were treated, while more than 17,000 surgeries and 100,000 lab tests were carried out during the period.
